A civil engineering graduate with background in transportation, geotechnical, and structural disciplines. Tim is also a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
Julian O’Connell

Julian O’Connell, Vice President, HB Trenchless LLC. Julian has over 35 years of experience in the Tunneling Industry of which over 20 years has been spent constructing tunnels and shafts at depths to 170 feet deepth utilizing mechanized, compressed air and conventional methods. The other 15 years was spent with a leading Tunneling Machine Manufacturer. He has international experience having worked in Europe, South America, Caribbean and North America.

Donald Arthur
Project Manager
Donald Arthur, Project Manager, HB Trenchless LLC. Don has over 5 years of experience in the Tunneling Industry working in soft ground with Earth Pressure Balance and Slurry Tunnel Boring Machines. Project roles have included Engineering and Project Management. He has over 15 years of experience in Accounting and Project Accounting. Don is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a Master’s degree in the Under Ground Construction and Tunneling program, a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysical Engineering and an Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business.
Chad M. Larsen
Project Manager/Equipment Manager
Chad Larsen-Project Manager/Equipment Manager. Chad has 22 years of experience working in the underground tunneling industry throughout the United States and Canada. Chad began his career with Robbins Co. in 1999 after serving 4 years in the United States Military. Over his tenure, Chad has been involved in multiple areas of the underground tunneling industry including new machine construction, machine rebuilds, machine operation, management of fleet equipment, and supervision of construction projects.
Farouq Esmail
Estimating Manager
Farouq Esmail, Estimating Manager, HB Trenchless, LLC. Farouq has close to two decades of underground construction experience with projects located across North America. His experience includes small diameter microtunneling to large diameter (20’+) TBM in soft soil and hard rock. A graduate of the University of Washington in civil engineering, his underground focus has primarily been associated with transportation and water conveyance.
